DD-WRT Build Info. Brainslayer added E2000 support in 14929, and builds are found in the broadcom_K26 folder for each build. Build 25974 works well but later k2.6 builds have VAP issues. Initial flash: 21061 K2.6 mini-e2000 Build 33492 loads on the E2000 and wireless works. [Tmittelstaedt] Erase nvram from CLI highly recommended. Mar 09, 2016 · When upgrading from the stock ASUS firmware out of the box, you will need to download the official DD-WRT “Brainslayer” build’s TRX firmware file first to get DD-WRT up and running on the AC68U, before you can try other builds like “Kong” (more on this later) Attached the PC to the ASUS RT-AC68U via ethernet cable to a LAN port.

The dual core ARM CPU is beneficial for running multiple simultaneous services on the router. SFE accelerated NAT was added to DD-WRT since build 33006 (kernel 3.10+), which Kong tested at 900 Mb/s throughput (download and upload). OEM firmware uses Broadcom's proprietary CTF (Cut-Through Forwarding). Throughput with IPv4 NAT routing tops out at:

The WNR2000v3 is technically supported by DD-WRT but there are a few caveats (noted below). As general advice, I would not advise anyone to purchase this router for use with DD-WRT. It lacks key features like decent flash space (limited features), RAM and gigabit Ethernet which don't make it a great candidate.
